Great day

“I will live this day as if it is my last. …I will waste not a moment mourning yesterday’s misfortunes, Yesterday’s defeats, yesterday’s aches of the heart, for why should I throw good after bad?”
I will live this day as if it is my last. This day is all I have and these hours are now my eternity. I greet this sunrise with cries of joy as a prisoner who is reprieved from death. I lift mine arms with thanks for this priceless gift of a new day. So too, I will beat upon my heart with gratitude as I consider all who greeted yesterday’s sunrise who are no longer with the living today. I am indeed a fortunate man and today’s hours are but a bonus, undeserved. Why have I been allowed to live this extra day when others, far better than I, have departed? Is it that they have accomplished their purpose while mine is yet to be achieved? Is this another opportunity for me to become the man I know I can be?”
―Og Mandino

Often people say-“oh it is too late to change , things, too late to change myself, to late for anything for time has passed me by”. Have you ever wondered on the saying-“today is the tomorrow you were worried about yesterday?” Thus-as long as one is breathing it is never too late to make any changes, start new ventures, or undergo new transformations.

This sentiment often turns up on one`s doorstep as “new years resolutions”, though I have given up on those, as I find I am too demanding on myself and eventually do nothing as it all becomes far too overwhelming. So, now I just plan the work, and work the plan-and put up small goals for myself to try and achieve-that seems to work-often till at least end of April, which is better than the second week of January.

This year, or rather last, as we are now in January-I came to sort of an epiphany around-well not around  actually on the 15th of December, was the actual turning point-or as I call it the 100th money finally hitting the water. A complete turn around in everything-not just within myself, but around me. Yes-changing the way one looks at things, makes the things change-be it alchemy, magic or just coincidence, it works.

I see things around me that I have totally missed and I find it   so invigorating  in my life-it`s like waking up  all energized and  filled with joy and love for life. I know-this is nothing special, but it is when one`s entire being is involved in this new phase of life.  Maybe it is all in the mind-perhaps we just become aware of the things that we have learnt, heard in the past-like that #1 is a new beginning , or that #5 is change-and our subconscious responds to it in kind.

But not to beat a dead horse to death- allowing old emotional baggage down the river is very rejuvenating –and allows one to look at things in a different light. So-each day I look at it as a new beginning, a new chance at doing , trying things-never too late for anything at all.  We are all here for a purpose, to grow to expand and allow our divine self to flower, to love-and to make our lives happy, joyous and loving . Each experience allows us to see beyond ourselves, but we need to see and value the gifts we have been given. Having said all this-one just has to take the first step and get going on the new path-for it is such a great day to be alive. Now-believe it!

“I was not delivered unto this world in defeat, nor does failure course in my veins. I am not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd. I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep. I will hear not those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious. Let them join the sheep. The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny.” –Og Mandino

Our mortality

Related image
Seeing the tragedy unfold at Fort Lauderdale  Airport, we get a strong reminders of our mortality. Reality suddenly shocks us knocking us of our feet. Often we just go about our daily business stressing and worrying about the future, not giving a thought of death-that may come suddenly without expectation. I am sure that those people who lost their lives had plans for the days ahead, having not the slightest idea that they would not even get out of the airport.

Then we ask –why do these things happen? Is it God`s punishment? Maybe there is no God? The one`s who get left behind get angry and often turn against God. I do not think God has much to do with it. I certainly believe that we each choose our mission-and when it is over, we leave, perhaps at times the time and type of departure  seems untimely-but there is order in the universe. We may not know or understand it all consciously, but deep within-our “higher self” knows.

Times like this point us to reflect on the “now”. It shines light upon the people we love and care for, whispering to us –“appreciate, appreciate all for life is short and unpredictable”.   We endlessly sweat over the small stuff, which is in truth a huge waste of time and energy. We fill our lives with intense drama-clinging on to old emotional baggage, then a day like today arrives making us realize that we are mortal. One minute we are here and the next we are gone-so why the need for all the negative emotional  energy? No need-we need to let it go, and concentrate on what is “now”.

During these kind of times one is forced, to confront death fully head on-and  recognize its finality. Sadly-every moment in the day is filled with  so many catastrophes on the planet for so many human beings  -wars, natural disasters, terrorist attacks and diseases. We can never predict the future-astrology, clairvoyance nor any other method does not prevent us from the clutches of fate, or us protecting ourselves against of “what is to be”.

Protection is to be ready-to be able say in those last minutes of life: “I did the best I could, I loved the deepest and I have no regrets. I have left noticeable footsteps behind”.  If one can say these words from the heart, then one is certainly a very lucky soul-a blessed one, as one shuffle off this mortal coil.......well until next time anyway.

Food of love?

Image result for music be the food o flife
I heard my one of my fathers favourite songs the other day-“Piano Man”, by Billy Joel. How did it make me feel? Mixed emotions, wonderful in one way awfully sad in an other.  Often, if something comes up on the radio that brings forth the past, I simply switch it off. It is often hard to listen to the past - in so very many ways. But music is such a perfect medium to crystalize memories. This is most certainly a human trait, as we all have this gift, or is it a curse? Sometimes I do not listen to anything for long months-for the one`s that one has on disc or tape more often than not, are reminders of people, places or events.  I truly cannot recall many pieces that I like, that have nothing tied to them-.

It is not always the lyrics that have this magical quality, but the actual music-especially when it comes to the great composers, they have the deepest connection to the human psyche. They enrich the soul and allow spirit to soar, seeing beyond all the physicality of life. Through their music , we see and feel eternity-they give us pause to think how magnificent all is . Shakespeare put it rather succinctly in Twelfth Night :

“If music be the food of love, play on,
Give me excess of it; that surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die.”

Each piece that one loves, comes with its own special story-be that by the band “Queen” or  “Pachabel”.  One actually gets transported back in time and once more is present within the very conjured up event. We become surrounded by the energy of people or the place of those special moments. It is a blessing to be allowed to visit and experience once more those feelings we had way back in time.

Start of a new year often is a good idea to revisit some, not for reasons of self flagellation or masochism, but as a reminder to remember our connection to the past, to love, to life itself-which is in truth a necessity. This has often more to do with people who have crossed our lives, loved ones we have lost. I feel I need to do this, though often it is very painful exercise, but much needed for spirit.

Last year has been very bad regarding recording artists, the world has lost a great number. Not that I am a raving fan, but the music of many of them have touched me deeply though the years-especially Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Prince and George Michael-these are some of the few that left the planet last year.  Sure, they are human, special in certain ways, but each of us is unique that way- as we all bring certain gifts into the world.  Our`s may not be music-but if we examine each life, we each brings and add to the treasure chest of life.  Their gifts are special because it talks directly to the soul. Well, some music is rather aggravating and harmful –so one chooses wisely as to what one listens to and embraces as one`s own to make them a functional part of the tapestry of our life.

Listen to some-and feed your soul!

Hero instinct

Image result for damsel in distress
A strange thing came my way the other day-it just popped up on my computer, an ad of course, when I read the title, I got rather curious. Well, any woman would want to know the mystery of :” What men secretly want, desire and crave”.  ~A secret that every woman should know-which will trigger an intense impulsive desire in a man. This all brings emotional balance-a way of “being emotionally in tune” with him.  Knowing and practicing to awaken his ancient animalistic instinct  –would bring results of infinite bliss, intense passion and a relationship lasting a lifetime~.  Sounded good to me-though I cannot complain about my relationship at this time, but one can always improve on things.  Passion is good-though I have no idea how better it can be when two fire signs get together-it does become a bonfire.

The prologue was at least five minutes long and rather tedious, I wanted to skip forward to the actual ”secret” as my curiosity was at its peak level-and I wanted to know all the details right “there and then”. What is this “great secret” –which is apparently even under the radar of men-they sort of carry this desire sub-consciously.  I was rather excited at the prospect of learning something where, my relationship would be cemented forever-as the ad had promised.

I have to confess-these days everyone is an expert on everything,  one can  go crazy regarding all the advice –especially relating to love and passion. But-I thought I should get to know this “secret”. So what is this “secret”? It is called the : “hero instinct”. Apparently according to psychologists, all men desire to be heroes-this inspires them gives them strength and they will do everything in their power to demonstrate this-especially when they are getting the energy from a woman. This remind me of the Shiva/Shakti principle“-consciousness Shiva(masculine), energy Shakti(feminine). Makes sense. But how does a woman do this?

Triggering the hero instinct of a man has more to do with being : “ one`s self ” completely, than any other thing.  Meaning being one`s authentic self, using one`s feminine power to allow a man to become the rock he can depend on, a tree growing down and  into the earth,-supporting his woman. It means allowing  the man to feel that he is the  foundation of a woman`s  personal power, that he is someone she can rely on and trust-with eyes closed.

This makes him feel powerful, needed and wanted-which in truth he is. I have always said that I need to feel I can completely trust a man I love regarding his judgement  in the relationship-if there is a fire and he says run left, without the slightest of doubt I would run left. I would  put my life in his hands completely-knowing that he knows the right thing to do. I need to feel the safety in my relationship. That is why I have always been drawn to powerful men-never looks, but strength of character and intelligence.

Now-this makes absolute sense to me-as this is how I always am, have always been. This is no revelation to me, as when love is involved all men want to save their “damsel” from the dragon. It is as it should be. A woman should be a woman, a man a man-has always been my mantra. Maybe I am just old fashioned-born in the wrong century. I have always agreed with my Hungarian blood which calls the man one loves: “my lord”-works for me. It is not that woman become slaves-but man it the hunter, and the woman is the nurturer. I have always hated this woman lib thing.

Men like the feeling of being the man in the relationship, and this can range from leading the relationship to doing all the heavy lifting. However, to get a man to man up and claim one as  his, one must be willing to step aside, to give up control, to lower one`s emotional wall and talk to him like he one` special  man, one`s king.  To trigger his hero instinct, one must be willing to act like his queen, a queen that needs to be cherished and protected. To do that, one must be willing to be soft and gentle with him. If one want to trigger a man’s hero instinct, one must be willing to lower one`s  guard and allow him to take the lead.

This approach I have to say from experience-works great. Now-this is certainly not deceiving, it has to be honest and genuine, all coming from the heart. If one in not sincere-it will eventually back fire, for truth always comes out in the end. Seeing-apparently I have been rather familiar with this “secret” all my life-maybe it is in my DNA-but I thought I would share it here, just in case someone can use the advice, which is in a nutshell right here.

Bottom line-every woman wants to be saved and protected by her knight-and every man yearns to be that knight. Actually- it is the most beautiful, romantic and passionate thing ever, to be in love with one`s hero.

Oceans of time

Image result for oceans of time
I have crossed oceans of time to find you!

This line comes from the film: “Dracula”-with Gary Oldman, who played Beethoven in “Immortal Beloved”-anyone who knows me –knows that I am simply in love with that movie.  Now, I am not that keen on the film Dracula-but the line takes my breath away. Now if ever a man says this to a woman, she knows that there has to be something in past live events-one just knows, it is kind of a “cell memory” that exist deep in our DNA. By the way- a woman  is allowed to say this line-it is not gender specific. Have you ever said it? Then think about it real hard-where did the thought originate from? From you? Or from where? Food for thought.

If one really seeks to know, to understand one`s self in creation , one needs to access the “Akhashic Records-it is very possible to know. All you need is wanting to know-and it is there in plain sight. Why would one want to know? Why the need to understand? Why the want of  knowing the hidden?  Well, it is like having an anchor-knowing and understanding existence. Having some vague idea of where one`s home really is-and above all whom has been deeply entangled with one`s life. Finding our missing self-the other part of that “divine spark”, that is us. Our other self-the mirror reflection that knows all and understands all about one`s thoughts, ideas, and the deepest of secrets. The very core of spirit and soul always seeks  to be in balance-and through finding it gets to be complete.  These are hard and difficult concepts-one cannot learn it, study it-just ”is” within  one. An innate knowing that one is connected, bound to an other soul-, that together it becomes “the complete self” . That is why I find the line from “Dracula” so very profound, for the search is the journey-often the mission of finding the “other self”.

I suppose that some search over many lifetimes-and come up empty, yet others a mere few and are lucky-perhaps a gift from the Creator that find that “other self”.  Often though-souls do not always evolve in the same sequence, or rather like in music-do not harmonize and they are blind to the recognition. Then on goes the story for numerous more lifetimes until both are once more on the same page-in harmony. Perhaps it has to do with “soul age”-not that an older soul is more important than a younger one, but perhaps a little more wisdom is accumulated through passage of lifetimes.

Now you may well ask-where is all this leading to? Down a few rabbit holes-unless one understands the whole idea of reincarnation-and accepts it. One needs to come to the point, where it all rings true-and  allow it all to unfold-not fight it as some do-with the anthem: “it cannot be proved by science-so such things don`t exist”. Well maybe not yet-but we are getting there-but the first step is acceptance, and the rest follows as does night follow day.

The question that begs to be asked-“Is every deep love story an old connection”. No. Being passionately, deeply in love does not necessarily reflect an old soul connection-. One can be in love many times, and this could be the first connection-but soul knows where it is at, if one asks it. So moral of story: Listen- but hear as well, to your soul`s voice and follow its instructions-for it not only sees, but feels and remembers all that has transpired through numerous lifetimes. Yes-crossing oceans of time is often necessary-to find that other part of us.

Life extension

I love new years and its promise, it is so exciting just thinking about it-knowing that there are so many opportunities that we fail to see.  This year is most special-“New Beginnings”#1 are always good news-especially when it is intermingled with “Change” #5. Attitude and Gratitude, is the driving force for our free will-and whatever we will access from the set of  “blueprints” is set by us.

Now –lately I have read much, and delved deeper into a few of the more unconventional ideas-trying to think more outside the box. Linear thinking is really the old energy at work, time to utilize the  “new paradigm” –and see reality through new eyes. All it takes is practice-and allowing the “higher self “ to express its voice. Yes-we can all channel, we can all be aware of the multi dimension side of ourselves see and in a quantum way. Remember the 6 things one needs to Belief, Intention, Emotion, Spread Merkabah, Let trouble go,  Open the door, -and remember the 3 things to be grateful for every night –that is vital  for things to start happening or one just marks time.

This year, is important to work on one`s self—as one comes to the realization that all is possible, it is time to act on it. One really needs to work  towards “self actualization” in every way-as Abraham Maslow suggests.  This entail a number of  areas-one need to work on one, that one feels important. Being in the health field-for me that is important for myself as well as my patients. So, briefly I will make some general suggestions that I myself will also follow. I have worked on this a while, but one tends to loose focus-it does take a some practice, conditioning and effort-as ego has a loud voice, and likes to take the easier route.

One needs to remember –that age is a number, and there can be a huge difference between chronological age and biological age. The genes, have a part to play, but let me tell you a rather small one. Do not believe what they tell you—the allopathic community, one is not slave to one`s genes, far from it-one can access and turn on one`s that are sleeping.

What I am suggesting here is rather general—as each individual is different. Their needs and metabolism is different. You feel  and see the difference in three weeks-but it all has to be kept up. If one misses a day or two—just start again as soon as possible. But do not stop.

We have so many things that will help at our finger tips—that have come a long way in the past 30 years. So now, all one needs is to “do it”. Below are a few suggestions that one can consider in slowing down the aging process-the amounts suggested are base line/per day. I also have not suggested the basics-one can do research on that. –The suggested supplements will also waken a few genes that will promote good health. I will not explain what is for what, one can research it on the internet. Before you start anything-you may want to consult with your doctor, as this is a general prescription-and  you may have underlying health conditions that should be considered!

1.      Co enzyme Q10-150mg

2.     PQQ (pyrroloquinnolone quinone)-20mg

3.     Ashwaganda-125mg

4.     Phosphatidylcholine- 1,000mg

5.      Omega 3-1,2oomg

6.     D-5,000IU

7.     Curcumin/Cinnamon-1tsp each

8.     Garlic -900 mg

9.     Acetyl-L carnatine-500mg

10.   Lipoic acid-300mg

      11.    Astaxanthin-4mg

      12.    L-glutathione-50mg

      13.    E-400IU

      14.    Lutein-150mg

      15.  Ginko Biloba-100mg

Remember to add the basics-as well as life style changes. One day at a time!! Hope that this will help you to be the best you can be-and it is the first step towards life-extension.

On being grateful

Image result for old beautiful post cards
I had this saved sometime ago-as I thought it would come in handy, for the time when I had decided to make this a habit of my life. Well-new years are always a good place to start-it is sort of a resolution, however I do not make them as I never keep the. But-this I shall incorporate into my life. Though-I am going to here put my own version into this poem of sort. I wish I knew who wrote it, as the credit is not mine-except the things I am grateful for-starting with last night.

The three gratitudes-
Every night before I go to sleep
I will say out loud,
Three things that I’m grateful for,
All the significant, insignificant
Extraordinary, ordinary stuff of my life.
It’s a small practice and humble,
And yet, I find I sleep better
Holding what lightens and softens my life
Ever so briefly at the end of the day.

Sunlight, and starry skies-moonlight,
The crackling snow under my feet.
Good kitties , most prcious fur kids-

-all three Fonzie, Chloe and Alice.
and awesome green Philodendron
and ferns in my living room,
A wonderful New Years Eve with mom, -
phone call from the kids at midnight-
And an amazing concert from the Lincoln Centre,
A photo session with mom-last night ,
the creek partly iced glittering like diamonds,
and all the Christmas cards from friends and family.
My mothers  good health,-as well as mine,
seeing my daughter so beautiful-glowing with happiness.
Knowing that all family is within 5kms-nice to be near.
Hearing the “The Great Pretender” by the Platters-
and “Smoke gets in your eyes,”mom`s favourite.
Making me choked up as memories of SA come flooding back.
beautiful Church-Mass this morning at St Francis de Sales.
Especially being with mom-speaking with my cousin
and Aunt Olgi on Skype-and Aniko from Sweden.
Great lunch-pork of course-and “kocsonya”-
And your sweet face-and beautiful words.
All the magic of “then". My heart filled with love.

This most awesome house-all the stain glass,

Poinsettias on the table-sun streaming in.
The “Blue Danube Waltz” and French Horns.
Ticking of the clock- and tiny spiders.
Candles and incense on the old organ-who played it,
I wonder?
My old coat-that my dad loved-the snow flake crystal broach,
from Oliver and Co.
Thoughts of sweet Muriel-how I love her.
Scent of “Opium”.
Message of Kryon-so profound-touched my heart,
-6 things; Belief,  intention , emotion, leave troubles behind,
spread Merkabah, open the door!
And that I know that intention and faith-
Is everything.
Never a doubt-about God-and so it is.

And after three things,-well much more by now,
More often than not,
I get on a roll and I just keep on going,
I keep naming and listing,
Until I lie grinning,
Blankets pulled up to my chin,
Awash with wonder
At the sweetness of it all.
