Thoughts on life

We are so determined to make it in the world-strive to do the best for ourselves, our loved ones-but in the end often one wonders that perhaps one should have pursued other things. Things that at that specific moment wasn`t as important, or ennobling regarding the material world.-We chase dreams.   Sadly one often realizes this when it is late-often , many on their death bed that that was not the right path, yet we do not seem to learn from their mistakes-perhaps mistakes are wrong words for this, but more so priorities as life is far too short to spend it or squander it on worldly things, as opposed to  things that last-things of the heart, of spirit-things enriching our souls that last.

I am not saying that worldly things are not important, that wanting a life that is comfortable and that we and our children become citizens of the world contribute to make it a better place,be the best they can be and achieve their full potential-but there needs to be balance. Too much of anything is no good, neither is too little.

Being older now I see with different eyes than when I was in my 20`s-being more reflective as wisdom comes with age, and understanding the views of others, and accepting the fact that we are all different, yet very much the same-wanting the same and having the same responsibilities and priorities no matter where we are on this tiny blue orb.

Shakespeare said it well in Julius Caesar in Anthony`s speech-
"The evil that men do lives after them; The good is oft interred with their bones"
-so it is. Absolute power corrupts absolutely as well as money-there needs to be a balance in everything and above all compassion, understanding, inclusion, empathy, forgiveness, mercy, kindness, caring ,unity-thus are the qualities of love.

Don`t get me wrong-there is nothing wrong with money- is how it is being used. Dr Teller was famous for saying when asked about the splitting of the atom, he was the Father of the hydrogen bomb-

“There is nothing wrong in what I have done-and I am proud, but it all depends how it is being used-for positive  or negative affects, and that depends on man which road he wants to take-one to destruction or the other which is used for the uplifting of humanity” He was right.

One has to take stock-and step outside of life and look at it from a distance and determine what is important to one`s soul, spirit and heart.  We all have different agendas, and that is wonderful as we are all different as snowflakes, but always try and do what is right and on one`s death bed one shall not have regrets-and say I have live a wonderful, meaningful life and I mad a difference for all, as well as for myself.
