Night

Rumi`s time is the early hours of the morning when God reveals Himself to us in perfect silence-my favourite special time.  Silence is the  voice of mystery, of creation itself.  That is the time to think , time to ponder, time to listen, time to reflect on the whisperings of  God to our soul. Interpret not through the intellect, but through the heart what message is being sent to one in the darkness of the night.  We get to see and understand the reverence for life that we so often forget  and a hidden light of spirit is awakened in us in the quietude of the peace of darkness.  God did not only speak  to humanity in biblical times only, He keeps speaking continually except we have forgotten to listen. He reminds us of our sacredness and our deep longing for Him that is etched into our humanity.  

However we are filled with the chatter of ego which drowns out all that is of value to the soul, all that is noble of spirit. We live lives like mechanical robots trying to figure out meaning to everything through the material world and explain all though simple mechanics and technology.  If we follow that trend, the fine threads of spirit that bind us to each other, and in a greater aspect to God- gradually will disappear and we shall become like a ship without an anchor and lose our sense of belonging. We become ever more lonely, less intimate and live a more isolated existence .

One can replenish spirit, reconnect to our higher self and strengthen those bonds during “Rumi`s time” between our soul and God. We need to find balance for our lives-and that is only possible from a flow from a higher source. Each night shows us a new avenue to each day for a brand new chance to realign ourselves with spirit and with God.
