Forgotten

What have you forgotten? Moments of happiness and of sorrow and of loss; moments that took your breath away; moments you swore never to forget. You have forgotten people too, and experiences; portents and dreams and revelations; letters never sent and poems written on the sky of longing and loneliness--all
faded to mud and dark loam.

And out of your forgetting there will arise understanding; the meanings that give direction to your life, beyond thoughts, beyond feeling, etched deeply into the sublime wisdom of your cells. Sink then, indelibly, into the oozing muck of the crisis of love. Sink into what you cannot remember. Drink of Lethe's well. Die to your life while yet alive, and dare to let it go. Let it become the detritus of your understanding. Do you remember
your first kiss? It has much in common with your last breath. And each kiss will be as your first, and each breath, unrequited, until in rests in death.
Have you all a lovely day! ;)

 --Forgotten

However, I feel the secret lies in never forgetting a moment and never letting go.I feel it is through that, that we evolve to the higher realms. Once anything that has life breathed into it, cannot be annihilated. All is energy and that can only be transformed once created.

Your piece is exquisite, beautiful and soulful. The words are truly to live by and sustenance for the soul. But, I would prefer to drink from the river Mnemosyne though instead the waters of Lethe. How about you?... :-)
