When His Holiness the Dalai Lama talks to people , whether politicians or pop stars, friends or whether he talks to anyone he always points out that enlightenment is actually many life times ahead. And what is important is what you do right now with your existence and how we share our responsibility.
Dalai Lama:

Compassion is not just going around smiling, and being nice to people all the time. Compassion can also be wrathful, aggressive, passionate...

Let us first become human beings. Let us look after our planet, look after our civilization first. We all have a responsibility, and there is so much suffering this world...but we just don`t see it.We walk around just looking for our own little happiness. Much of our pleasure existence depends on the suffering of others as we exploit other countries.

Enlightenment is fine; all religion is fine; studying Dharma is great; practicing tantra is great; - but first let us become human beings!
